Esta noche se llevó a cabo la entrega de los Globos de Oro, que premia lo mejor del cine y la televisión. Y como es una costumbre, la sede es el Hotel Beverly Hilton en Los Ángeles.
“Barbie” y la serie “Succesion” fueron las producciones con más nominaciones; sin embargo, las sorpresas en las premiaciones estuvieron a la orden del día. Si bien “Succession” fue la serie ganadora de la noche, en cuanto a cine, la gran ganadora fue “Oppenheimer”, dirigida por Christopher Nolan, que se llevó los principales premios, como Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor actor en película dramática.

Entre las novedades de esta premiación se encontró la categoría por Mejor Comediante de Televisión. El primer ganador en dicha categoría fue Ricky Gervais, por su especial de Stand up, Ricky Gervais: Armageddon.
También se incluyó la categoría de logros cinematográficos y de taquilla de cine. Y el premio fue para “Barbie”.
